Levels, Rank, and Tiers
A player's overall strength is measured by a Letter Rank and a Number Tier. The letters range E-A, S, X and the numbers scale 1-3, one being the lowest. Generally, most people will base this off of your letter rank. The number tier just helps showcase the difference of skill within a letter rank. If a player starts out from complete scratch, they will be level E-1, while the highest a person can be is X-3. You can move up in these levels via purchasing upgrades or being awarded them during events or Character Arc submissions.
Below you will find some general information regarding each Rank and their respective tiers. These are loose descriptions. When starting off, you will fill in an area that asks which Rank you wish to start as. The highest Rank a player can start in is the A rank. Applications that wish to reach A tier should be well thought out and unique. Members can opt to start out at the lowest level, E-3, if they desire. This gives them time to work on character development, amass some Jenni, among taking the time to learn the system. It is up to you. If you start with Hunter’s License, you must be rank C.
Remember, that if you list something as a strength it is considered +1 tier higher than normal. While weaknesses will be treated as -2 tiers below normal. For more stats, strength, and weaknesses information, please go to the Player's Stat Page.
To progress on the site, a person will go through what we call Arcs. Arcs are a collection of threads that you have completed over a period of time. Typically a person would only be in one to two arcs at a given moment on the site. Depending on your level, you may have to do much more impressive arcs. For more information on Arcs and how they function, head on over to the Arc System Page.
